Message from the Executive Director:
Rape crisis Center, Brazos Valley (RCCBV) is a non-profit agency providing anonymous, confidential, Internet support services, 24-hour hotline, individual crisis intervention, advocacy and information for all survivors of sexual abuse.
Since 1983, the Brazos County Rape Crisis Center in Bryan, Texas, has strived to ensure that all victims/survivors of sexual assault are treated with dignity and respect. Our goals to provide victims with 24-hour assistance, increase the conviction rate and educate all citizens have been fulfilled and continue to expand. Our services are provided to a seven county region (Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, Robertson, Washington and Leon counties). We have further expanded to provide worldwide support through this website with Anonymous, Confidential Online Support Services.
We believe education is the key to prevention and encourage all ages be given awareness programs by knowledgeable rape crisis speakers. We believe more victim rights are needed within the legal system, encouraging increased reporting and decreased early release/non-conviction of sex offenders. We also believe trained rape crisis support advocates should be available, free-of-charge, 24-hours a day to victims/survivors of sexual assault and their family and friends.
Our beliefs have been put into action and we encourage you to share the following information with others and to get involved with a rape crisis center near you TODAY! Without our volunteers, we would not exist.
